As of March 30, 2012, PALS system statuses have been revised to add 8 new ones for INN Reach. Click here for a printable list. The following statuses are no longer in use, but there are options listed that are comparable. The spreadsheet of items globally updated is here and messages will be added to records that they were updated by PALS so you can find them and make any changes. Use your locations, the NEW status code, and message has "xxx" for the items you want to find.
In an effort to replace old statuses with new ones that matched BOTH if the items were requestable AND suppressed, we are going to use the status 'unavailable' for damaged or in repair, since 'in tech services' is requestable.
The actual numbers of affected items are on this chart of updates. Out of 8.5 million items, very few were affected. SCLSW and SCLSG will move to '9' Click Link instead of 'o' Internet File. "O" will return to its intended use of SEE LIBRARIAN. If these items are checked out, they will remain SEE LIBRARIAN when checked back in.
